On December 11, 2025, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the intersection of N 7th Street and Patterson Road for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle traveling westbound on Patterson Road struck a pedestrian while in the crosswalk.
Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics from the Grand Junction Fire Department, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the pedestrian once next of kin have been notified.
The Grand Junction Police Department is in the early stages of the investigation. There is no additional information available at this time.
