At 7:32 p.m. on Sunday, August 25th, Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched to Boston’s Restaurant for smoke and flames coming from the sign over the entry to the restaurant and and an activated fire alarm system. When crews arrived on scene they found that all customers and employees had safely evacuated the building, that the fire sprinkler system had activated, and that there was active fire above the entry to the building. Crews were able to confirm that the fire had not spread beyond the initial area and worked to contain it quickly.
The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
