GRAND JUNCTION, CO — At approximately 2:38 a.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 12th Street and Ute Avenue for a reported fire involving a mobile food truck parked on the northwest corner of the intersection.
Passersby called 9-1-1 after observing smoke coming from the vehicle that did not resemble normal cooking operations. The food truck was locked and appeared to be unoccupied upon arrival.
Truck 1 responded and quickly extinguished the fire. Crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure the stone pizza oven had fully cooled and there was no active fire posing risk of reignition. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
The Grand Junction Fire Department also provided traffic control and ensured scene safety throughout the incident.
