Parking Meter Rates

• Short-Term Meters (2-hour): $1.30 per hour
• Short-Term Meters (4-hour) and main floor of the parking garage: $1.20 per hour
• Long-Term Meters (10 Hours): $0.50 per hour 

Parking Lot information:

• Four-hour parking only in the lots at:
  • the 400, 500, and 600 blocks of Colorado Ave., and at the DMV north and south lot 
• Ten-hour parking only in the lots at: 
  • 600 Rood Ave. (pay to park) 
  • See below for permit-designated parking 

Parking meter payment options:

• Pay by coin, no extra fee, and convenient for a minimal parking duration
•  Pay with a credit or debit card by inserting or tapping to pay for your time. *Note there is a $.10 processing fee when using this method of payment.
• Pay with the Passport App by downloading and navigating to your location. An easy method for those on-the-go needing to extend time without returning to the meter. *Note there is a $.35 app fee associated with the software. 

Parking Garage Rates

• Short-Term Lease (Month-to-Month)
  • Surface Spaces: $55 per month
  • Covered Spaces: $80 per month

Downtown Parking Permits

The online portal and digital permit system provide increased functionality and management for your Grand Junction Downtown Parking Permit. You will no longer need a physical permit.

When your current permit expires, you will need to use the system to register. Please follow these simple steps to manage/purchase your digital permit:

1. Go to our Online Parking Permits website
2. Create an account with your email address or phone number
3. Select a permit type, fill in vehicle information, and add your payment details.
4. Enjoy parking with no physical permit. Enforcement will be able to confirm your permit is valid.

Permits are $50 per month beginning Feb. 1, 2026, and can only be used at designated ten-hour parking meters (excluding the parking lot at 5th and Grand Avenue behind the Methodist Church) and parking lots.

Downtown Permit parking is available in the lots at: 

• 600 Rood Ave. 
• 500 block of Ute Ave. This lot is designated for permit parking only 
• 400 block of Colorado Ave. in spaces 101-128

Permit holders may only park in designated ten-hour parking metered spaces or lots.
