About Downtown Parking
The City of Grand Junction offers ample parking options for downtown patrons, including more than 1,100 metered parking spaces, 68 time-limited parking spaces, and a parking garage located in the 400 block of Rood Avenue. The Rood Avenue Parking Garage provides a total of 434 parking spaces, with 126 spaces available for short-term and daily public parking, including accessible (handicapped) spaces and motorcycle parking, while the remaining spaces are designated for long-term leased parking. Enforcing Rates
Metered parking is enforced Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parking (excluding EV charging) is free outside of the above hours, on weekends, and on the following holidays:

- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Presidents' Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- General Presidential Election Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
In addition, those with an official Handicap placard or license plate may park for free at City parking meters or parking lots.
