On May 16, 2025, at approximately 9:50 a.m., first responders from the Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of North Avenue and N 5th Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on North Avenue when it collided with a truck turning north onto N 5th Street. Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics from the Grand Junction Fire Department, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the motorcyclist once next of kin have been notified.
The Grand Junction Police Department is in the early stages of the investigation. Speed is being considered as a potential factor in the crash. There is no additional information available at this time.
