On 05/31/24, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a male throwing a metal pipe at vehicles in the area of City Hall located at 250 N 5th Street in Grand Junction, Colorado. Officers took the male into custody without incident. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. Jason Barniville (age 38) was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office on two outstanding warrants and charged with Menacing (Misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct. This is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing danger to the public. No further information is available at this time.
