GRAND JUNCTION, CO – At 7:02 a.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to reports of an RV fire on the 200 block of 28 ½ Road.
Neighbors reported smoke, flames, and explosions coming from the RV. While it was initially unknown if anyone was inside, dispatch confirmed with the homeowner that the RV was unoccupied. Engine 4 arrived first and found the fire had spread, damaging two nearby vehicles and a utility trailer. No injuries were reported.
The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol assisted with traffic control and scene safety.
