The Grand Junction Police Department invites community members to take part in this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, 2025—a special evening dedicated to building stronger connections between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve.
Registration is now open for this annual event, which encourages residents to come together, foster relationships, and enhance public safety through meaningful engagement with local police officers. Whether you're a neighborhood group, a community organization, or just a few families on the block, you're encouraged to register your gathering and join this nationwide effort.
National Night Out offers a valuable opportunity to meet officers, discuss community safety concerns, and learn about local crime prevention efforts. Past events have featured everything from neighborhood cookouts and block parties to fun games for kids and sweet treats for all ages.
“We truly value the opportunity to meet with our community face-to-face,” said Stan Ancell, Special Units Sergeant for the Grand Junction Police Department. “National Night Out is a powerful reminder of how strong partnerships lead to safer, more connected neighborhoods.”
Participation is free, and once registered, the Grand Junction Police Department will coordinate visits from officers to your event—making it a memorable evening for all involved.
To register, visit the GJPD website at https://www.gjcity.org/1118/National-Night-Out. Registration closes July 28, 2025.
Help us build a safer, stronger Grand Junction—one block party at a time. We can’t wait to see you there!
