Grand Junction, CO - On December 24, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were dispatched to the Laurel House, located at 3197 N 12th Street, for a report of a robbery.
During the investigation, officers learned that two men known to the victim forced entry into his room. The victim was physically assaulted and choked, causing him to lose consciousness. Both suspects were armed with what appeared to be guns; however, through the course of investigation, one was determined to be a BB gun.
The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Anthony Bowker and 18-year-old Nevin “Alex” Garcia. Arrest warrants were written and granted for both men.
On December 28, 2025, officers located Bowker and Garcia and took them into custody without incident. Both were transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on the charges of Aggravated Robbery, Menacing, 2nd Degree Assault, and other charges.
This is believed to be an isolated incident with no ongoing danger to the public. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
