The City of Grand Junction and the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture (GJCAC) are excited to host Theatre in the Park Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. as a collaboration with The Theatre Project. The free, family-friendly event will take place at the marble courts in Lincoln Park. It will feature The Theatre Project's performance of Seusspeare: Romeo and Juliet’s Restaurant Wars. This is a Shakespearean classic told in Dr. Seuss-style rhyme, sprinkled with contemporary references for extra fun.
A local food truck will offer snacks for purchase, and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or low-back lawn chair.
The GJCAC is dedicated to building and enhancing the value of art in the community by increasing opportunities for cultural and interactive events. This free performing arts event is a great way to introduce families to the arts through a playful and engaging performance in the park.
