[ARCHIVED] Grand Junction Updates Parking Meters

The City of Grand Junction is updating parking meters in the downtown corridors to a more modern version that offers customers more options to pay including coins, credit cards, and the third-party Passport App. Additionally, the credit card option supports both swipe and tap-to-pay methods. Efforts to replace outdated meters began in late July and will continue throughout the month of August until all meters are placed including adding kiosks in parking lots and the parking garage. City staff continue to work on installing the devices on streets and in parking lots. View all available city parking using the map or view parking rate information online.

The City began a pilot program for Smart Meters in late 2023 and gathered community feedback about how the Smart Meters were being used and the functionality of these updated devices.
