City Public Works Projects

City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

24 Road and G Road – Traffic Roundabout Project  

  • Be aware of traffic impacts on 24 Rd. for landscaping 
  • Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around the 24 Rd. and G Rd. roundabout  
  • Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will be maintained 

City of Grand Junction Leaf Removal Program 

  • Please slow down in areas where City crews are working 
  • Estimated completion is early December (weather permitting)

2023 Sewer Replacement Project 

  • 27 Rd. from B ¾ Rd. to Milo Dr. will be closed 
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Anticipated completion end of December 2023  
  • Cagney Ct. Closed for sewer replacement 
  • Resident access will be maintained 

Riverside Waterline Replacement Project 

  • Hale Ave, Park Ave, Fairview Ave and Ute Ave will be closed to thru traffic 
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Anticipated completion is January 7 

Sewer Main Replacement 

  • Sewer main replacement on Cagney Ct. 
  • Estimated to last a week 
  • Anticipate delays 
  • Resident access will be maintained 

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restriction 

1st St. Gas Line Construction – CDOT   

  •  1st St. between Rood Ave. and Pufferbelly 
  •  1st St. will have both lanes, but median is still under construction 

Xcel Project at 25 Rd and Foresight Cir. 

  • Foresight Cir. at 25 Rd will be closed, detours will be put in place 
  • Access to businesses will be maintained 
  • Expect delays and longer than normal commute times 

Gas Line Xcel 

  • Harris Rd, south of North Ave will be closed to through traffic 
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Will be open after working hours and weekends 
  • Expect delays 

Fiber Boring  

  • Fiber boring will be taking place on 30 Rd. From Green Pl. To Orchard Ave. 
  • 31 Rd and Patterson Rd will have boring activities toward the end the week.
