GJPD Responds to Back-to-Back Vehicle Crashes into Buildings

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to two separate vehicle crashes into buildings on October 8, 2025.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash into a brick planter on the side of JC Penney, located at 2424 Hwy 6 & 50. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD) for evaluation of injuries.

About ten minutes later, officers responded to another single-vehicle crash into the Subway restaurant located at 2412 Patterson Road. The front of the building sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported. The driver was evaluated on scene by GJFD personnel.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
