Vandalism Suspect Arrested by GJPD

On May 19, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of vandalism in progress at Kratom Bar, located at 1005 North Avenue. The reporting party stated that someone had broken a window at the business.

Investigation of the incident determined the business had been entered by force and items of value had been removed. 

At approximately the same time, the Grand Junction Regional Communications Center received a separate call reporting that an individual had removed their ankle monitor and may have stolen a vehicle in the 1000 blk of 12th Street. Officers recognized the description of the vehicle from previous similar incidents. 

Through investigation of the two incidents from this date, officers were able to identify and arrest Trinity Weiberg, age 27, for the following charges:

  • Second-Degree Burglary
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Theft

Weiberg was transported and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility.

The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the community. No additional information is available at this time.
