On February 4, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m. officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Horizon Drive and G Road. A vehicle traveling eastbound on G Road veered off the left side of the road onto Horizon Drive and collided with another vehicle traveling northbound. Both drivers were transported to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.
The north and southbound lanes of Horizon Drive at G Road will remain closed for several hours as officers continue their investigation and work to clear the scene. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
The Grand Junction Police Department is in the early stages of investigation and is considering speed as a potential factor in this crash. There is no further information available at this time.
