Grand Junction’s Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool reported a significant water leak yesterday causing the pool to be closed until crews could determine the extent of the repairs needing to be made.
City crews were onsite early this morning using listening devices to identify the location of the water leak. A backhoe was brought in to dig out the concrete and locate the broken pipe. Repairs have begun and the pipe is anticipated to be fixed today. Concrete will be replaced on Tuesday and will need to cure until the facility is able to open on Friday. With school starting this week, the new Lincoln Park Pool schedule will be adjusted to be open on weekends until Labor Day. The new facility schedule will be Friday from 3:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-7:30 p.m. until Labor Day.
The Splash Pad at Lincoln Park Pool is free and open Mon. – Fri. from 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and from 1:30-7:30 p.m. on Sat and Sun. The Orchard Mesa Pool will be open today and tomorrow. However, the Orchard Mesa Pool will close this Wednesday – Sunday for annual scheduled maintenance.
