Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious item in the area of N 15th Street and Patterson Road on 07/07/24 at approximately 10:50 a.m. The reporting party reported a pressure cooker sitting on the corner of the intersection on top of an irrigation grate. The Grand Junction Bomb Squad responded to the area to investigate and found the item to be empty. There was no explosive device to be found. The immediate area around the pressure cooker was secured as the Bomb Squad investigated the item and determined the area safe. There is no ongoing threat to the public and no additional information available.
