The disc golf course at Westlake Park will temporarily close for irrigation system replacement beginning Monday, November 13 until the end of the year. The trail going through the park will remain open throughout the project with a minor detour. The playground and skate park will also remain open.
Westlake Park has undergone several renovations in recent years including the installation of a new disc golf course and the painting of artistic murals. Continuing this effort to improve this community park, the Parks and Recreation Department has contracted with the landscape center to replace the main line for the sprinkler system. The sprinkler system has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. This project will increase water efficiency and is part of a phased approach to improving the quality and sustainability of Westlake Park.
