Fostering public involvement and engagement is a key priority for the City of Grand Junction. Public participation in government processes is an essential way for the city to convey important information, open avenues of communication with stakeholders, and promote a transparent, equitable form of government.

Coffee with the City Manager. Join City Manager Greg Caton for casual conversation, a hot beverage, and bread at the Mesa County Library, located at 443 N 6th Street, on Thursday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m. Bring your questions and comments!

Trailhead Talk with Abe & Chuck. Join Council Members Abe Herman and Chuck McDaniel for a cool drink and conversation at the Lunch Loop Trailhead (Monument Road) on Friday, June 17 at 5 p.m. Bring your bike for a ride after!

Community Meetings

The City of Grand Junction is excited to announce the 2022 Community Meeting Series! Throughout the year, City staff will host events to gather input and feedback from the community.

Community meetings serve a range of purposes, including neighborhood meetings, where staff provides residents with updates on City projects, to meetings on special topics, such as projects, plans, or the budget. In addition to providing information, staff use community meetings to seek input from community members. 

Online Engagement

The City utilizes a variety of methods to engage with community members online, including social media and engagement platforms such as GJSpeaks. Community members are also always able to provide comments and feedback to City staff via email.

Hybrid Public Hearings

The Grand Junction City Council holds public hearings in a hybrid setting, allowing community members to participate virtually or in person at City Hall. More information and details on how to participate can be found at Public Participation for Hybrid Meetings


Participate in the City of Grand Junction government online at GJSpeaks. City of Grand Junction's Planning Commission public hearings are available at where community members can review the materials for issues at upcoming meetings, leave public comments that are reviewed by planning commissioners, and join the meeting remotely and provide input during the meeting.
