City Council Community Issues

City Council Community Issues

City Council works with partners in the community to address issues affecting Grand Junction.

Community Food & Nutrition Security

The City of Grand Junction's goals to reduce food & nutrition insecurity are closely aligned with the five goals of the Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger while building on local needs, strengths, and opportunities of organizational partners here in Grand Junction. The Mesa County Blueprint to End Hunger is a local action plan to address hunger in our community.

Houselessness

City Council is committed to serving our houseless population by supporting area non-profits who work in this space. City Council works with the Grand Valley Coalition for the Homeless - a coalition of organizations and individuals who work to address the issue of homelessness in the Grand Valley through education, cooperation, and joint efforts.
